The Meadow House project entailed a partial renovation of a suburban home, which had previously been divided into a series of small, separate rooms. The kitchen and dining spaces had low ceiling heights and were located below an attic containing the building’s services. By restructuring the gabled roof and removing interior walls, the attic volume was redistributed to a newly combined kitchen and dining space. Service work was relocated into an existing crawl space below the floor. A singular large window provides light and creates a framed view of the landscape.
