The site of this home is located within view of a small lake. A large glacial erratic anchors the beginning of the entry path to the home. The home was sited to maximize views of the lake while emphasizing the surrounding pine forests. A central fireplace sits within a singular space containing an open kitchen, dining, and living room. Clerestory windows are located at the top of a sloping ceiling allowing views of the landscape and sky. Reclaimed siding and corrugated metal were chosen to clad the building in keeping with the humble nature of the project.
