Birdhouse

The birdhouse project was created in a moment of quiet to welcome song. We crafted the first few in our garage.
We enlisted Jerry Nance to make an edition of 100 birdhouses from two reclaimed wood types. Teak birdhouses were constructed from remnant boards from The High Line. Shou Sugi Ban birdhouses were made of cedar boards salvaged from New York City water towers. A gilded birdhouse constructed from cedar wood and gilded with gold leaf was produced as a one-off study.
